S.m. Sons

Our office is tucked away at 3198/1 in Shri Balaji Market. If you know Gali Rajawali near Peepal Mahadev, you already know it’s a very tight squeeze for anyone. It’s right by the Chawri Bazar Metro Station, so there are always crowds of people rushing past our door. The building itself is quite old, like most things in this historic part of the city. We do our sales work from here every day. It gets very crowded during the peak hours, especially with the hand-pulled rickshaws and the loaders moving heavy goods through the narrow lanes. Sometimes it feels like the whole world is trying to fit into one single street at the same time. We’ve been here at S.m. Sons for quite a while now. Our desks are usually piled high with ledgers and sample books for the trade. It’s a bit of a maze to find us if you aren’t used to the local area. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy on the wall. People who need to see us usually know exactly where to turn after they come out of the metro exit. The air is thick with the smell of the market and the street food cooking nearby. We spend our days talking to customers who squeeze into the office to discuss their orders. It’s a lot of face-to-face interaction. We don't use much fancy technology, just the basics to keep the business records straight. It’s a very traditional way of doing business, but it works for us and the neighbors.
