You’ll find us at D9/17 in Model Town, Part-II. This neighborhood has changed quite a bit over the years, but we’ve stayed right here in our same spot. Harjai Garments isn’t one of those big malls; it’s more of a local place where we know many of our customers by their first names. The building is a typical Model Town structure, and we’ve done our best to make it work for a garment business. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of clothes and a small counter where we handle the payments. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that, so we just rely on people telling their friends about us or just noticing the sign when they walk their dogs in the evening. The lighting is a bit dim in the back, and the floors are a bit worn down from years of people walking on them, but it has a comfortable feel to it. Sometimes we have tea delivered from the stall around the corner, and the whole place smells like cardamom for a while. We don’t try to act like a big corporation; we are just a small business trying to keep things simple and honest. It can be a lot of work to keep everything organized, especially when new stock arrives, but we manage to get through it. It’s a quiet life here in Part II, and we like the steady pace. We just open up and see what the day brings.
