We are up here on the third floor in Lajpat Nagar. It is one of those buildings where you have to know where you are going or you might miss the turn. Grafik has been here for a while now. Most days it is just us surrounded by paper and machines that hum all day long. Sometimes the lift works and sometimes it does not, so we get our exercise on the stairs. The neighborhood is always noisy with people shopping outside, but up here it is mostly just the sound of work getting done. We do not have fancy chairs or a big reception area because there is not much room for that. Most of the space is taken up by desks and piles of stuff we are working on. We just come in, have some tea, and get started. It is a bit messy sometimes but that is how it goes when you are busy. People usually find us through word of mouth or they just know the Udai Chand Marg area well. We do not spend much time talking about what we do, we just do it. It is a simple setup really. I like the light we get from the windows in the afternoon even if the street noise is a bit much. It feels like a real place where things actually happen every day without any fuss.
