Gopi Chand & Sons is located at 1888/7, G.F kumar cinema building, bhagirath palace, chandni chowk. It’s right in the heart of the market. If you know the area, you know how crowded and loud it gets with all the shoppers and porters. Our shop is tucked into that historic building, and it’s filled from floor to ceiling with stock. We don't have much room for walking, let alone a fancy showroom. Most of the day is spent pulling items from the shelves for customers who stop by. Chandni Chowk is a whirlwind of activity, and we’ve been part of it for a long time. The building itself has seen better days, but the location is perfect for trade. We have a small desk near the entrance where we write out bills by hand. There isn't any air conditioning, so we rely on the ceiling fans to stay cool during the Delhi summers. We drink a lot of tea with the other shopkeepers in the lane. It’s a traditional way of doing business, where your word matters more than a glossy brochure. We don't use much technology here, just a phone and our ledgers. It’s a busy, cramped, and honest shop in one of the oldest parts of the city. The wooden counter is worn smooth from years of people leaning on it while they wait for their orders. We keep a heavy iron safe in the back for the important documents and a bit of cash.
