Working out of the Teacher'S Hostel area at Jamia Millia Islamia is a bit different than your usual industrial park. Golden Laminates Ltd.Delhi is basically run by Braj Mohan Prasad and Hafeez Ahmad at this New Delhi-25 location. It’s a quiet enough spot, though the university vibe is always there in the background. We don't have a massive showroom or anything like that. Most of the work involves keeping track of what’s coming in and where it’s going next. The room is usually full of ledgers and sample boards leaning against the furniture. We’ve been at it for a long time, and the routine hasn’t changed much over the years. We wake up, check the stock, and see who needs what. There isn't any fancy corporate hierarchy here. If something needs doing, one of us just does it. Sometimes the mail is late or the internet goes down, but we just keep going. It’s a very hands-on way to run a business. We don't spend money on big ads or slick presentations. We’d rather just make sure the laminates are handled properly. It feels more like a community project sometimes, being situated where we are. We know the local shopkeepers and the students walking by. It's just a steady, honest way to make a living in the city.
