Globe-Tex Industries

Globe-Tex Industries is tucked away in D-63A, Dayanand Block, right in Shakarpur Extn. It’s a busy spot most of the time. Most days, we are just managing rolls of fabric and making sure the orders go out when they are supposed to. The building isn't fancy, but it does the job. Our team has been here for a while now, and we all know each other’s rhythms. It gets pretty hot in the summer, so we keep the fans going all day. There’s always a bit of dust from the textiles, which is just part of the work. We usually have tea together in the afternoon when things quiet down a bit. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time finding us because the lanes around here are a little narrow and crowded. You might see a few of us standing outside by the door when the sun goes down, just catching a breeze before heading home. We don’t have any big flashy signs or anything like that. It’s mostly just people who know we are here. We spend a lot of time checking the stitch work and making sure the colors look right under the lights. It's a simple operation, really. Nothing too complicated, just showing up and doing the work that needs to be done. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Some shops closed and others opened, but we’ve stayed put in this same block. It's home for us, honestly.
