General Exports Private Limited

We are over at B-19 in the Functional Industrial Estate. Patparganj Industrial Area is a huge place, so it can be easy to get turned around if you aren't familiar with the blocks. General Exports Private Limited has been in this unit for quite a few years now. It’s an industrial space, so don't expect anything pretty. There’s a lot of metal and concrete. We deal with various exports, which means there are always trucks coming and going. The dust from the road gets in everywhere, so we are always cleaning the desks. It’s a hardworking environment. We start early because the traffic in this part of Delhi can be a nightmare later on. The staff here is a small group. We know each other well and just get on with the job. There isn't much to say about the office itself. It’s functional, like the name of the estate says. We have a small area for tea and lunch. Sometimes the power goes out, but we have a backup generator that usually kicks in. We just handle the shipping documents and make sure the containers are loaded right. It’s not a glamorous life, but it keeps us busy. Most of the neighboring units do similar things. We all just mind our own business and keep the work moving along. It is what it is and we make the best of it.
