Ganesha Florist

Ganesha Florist is located near Fire Station Gate 12 in Khamba Lane. We are right opposite the Gopal Dass Building in Connaught Place. It’s a very busy spot in the heart of Delhi. We get started very early in the morning when the flower trucks arrive. My hands are usually stained green and wet by eight AM. We aren't a big flower shop with glass windows and air conditioning. We’re more of a stall where we arrange bouquets on the spot. It smells wonderful around here, but it’s also a lot of hard work. We have to trim thorns and keep the petals from wilting in the Delhi heat. We use a lot of spray bottles to keep things fresh. People stop by on their way to the office or before catching a train. We see all sorts of people every day. Some are happy because they’re buying flowers for a date, and others are just picking something up for a temple. We don't have a complicated ordering system. You just tell us what you like and we tie it up with a bit of ribbon or string. The traffic in CP is always loud, but we’ve gotten used to the noise. It’s a small business and we just take it one day at a time. We focus on having fresh flowers and being there when the market opens up.
