Our place is over in Ram Nagar Market, specifically on Lane No. 6. It’s called Sunil Kumar Sushil Kumar Co. because that's the family names involved from the start. We are at X-375, and if you walk down the lane past the big electric transformer, you’ll see our front door. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside because we try to stock as much as possible. We’ve got shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, filled with all sorts of things that people in Gandhi Nagar need for their businesses. It’s mostly a wholesale vibe here. Sunil is usually out talking to suppliers or checking on deliveries, while Sushil stays back to manage the walk-ins. We have been here a long time, so we’ve seen the market change from a quiet street to this chaotic hub it is now. The floor is old stone and it’s worn down in the spots where people stand the most. We don't have a website or anything like that, just a landline that rings way too often. Lunch is usually eaten in a hurry behind the counter while someone asks about prices. It gets really hot in May, and the small cooler we have doesn’t do much, but we get used to it. Every evening we lock up the heavy metal shutters and go home tired. It’s just a honest way to make a living in a busy city like this.
