We have bundles of clothes stacked almost to the ceiling. It’s a bit of a squeeze to move around when we have more than two or three people inside. We’ve been in this market for many years now. It’s a lot of lifting heavy bags and dealing with the heat. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of wall fans that stay on all day. The noise from the street is constant, but you stop hearing it after an hour or two. We sell mostly in bulk, so we’re always counting and bagging things up for orders. It’s a family-run operation. My sons help out with the inventory and the loading. We don't bother with fancy displays or anything like that. People come here because they know we have what they need and we don’t waste their time with chatter. Sometimes we have a quick lunch sitting on the stools between customers. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know how to do. The market is very competitive, so we just focus on our own shop and keep moving. It’s a busy life here in Ram Market, but we are used to it. We close up when the market gets quiet at night.
