Gammon India Ltd.

Up here in New Delhi, specifically in the Garih area at 231/10, is where our small team is based. It’s a bit of a crowded neighborhood, but it’s central enough that we can get to most places without too much trouble. The office is part of the larger Gammon India network, but we feel like a small local shop. It’s a bit noisy because of the street outside, and the building itself has some character, or at least that’s what we call it when the plumbing acts up. We do a lot of the back-office work here. There’s a lot of typing, filing, and the occasional argument over whose turn it is to get the water bottle. We have some old posters on the walls from projects done years ago. It’s not a sterile environment; it feels like a place where people actually work. We don’t really do the whole corporate suit-and-tie thing unless someone important is coming by. Usually, it’s just shirts and trousers and trying to keep the desk fans pointed the right way during the summer. Delhi winters are a different story, then we’re all huddled in sweaters and drinking hot tea. It’s just a normal office life for us, nothing more and nothing less. We take the work seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. There is a small window that looks out onto the street and it’s always interesting to see what’s going on down there while we’re on our breaks.
