Gammon India Limited

Over in Durgapur, our office is located at D-1/12 in the Burdwan district of West Bengal. It’s a simple setup for the Gammon India Limited team. The area is quite industrial, which fits what we do. We spend most of our time looking at site reports and managing the labor schedules. The office itself is nothing special to look at. It’s just a place where the engineers and the admin staff sit. We’ve got the usual piles of files and a few old chairs. It gets pretty dusty with all the construction going on in the region, so we’re always cleaning the desks. People in Durgapur know our name because of the big projects we’ve handled in the past. We don’t really go out of our way to advertise ourselves. The work speaks for itself, really. It’s a lot of long hours and sometimes things don’t go according to plan, but we find a way to fix it. We aren't interested in sounding like a big corporation. We are just a local office trying to keep things moving. The 713 202 area is home for us now. We take the work seriously, but we keep the atmosphere pretty relaxed in the office. Durgapur has its own rhythm, and we've adjusted to it over the years. We just keep our heads down and handle the tasks that come our way, one day at a time. It keeps us busy enough.
