Flir Systems India Pvt. Ltd. is based at No. 1111 in the D-Mall. That’s over in Netaji Subhash Place in Pitampura. Being in a mall is actually pretty convenient because there are plenty of places to eat nearby. Our office is on the eleventh floor, so we get a decent view of the area. We deal with a lot of thermal imaging and sensor tech. It sounds complicated, but we try to keep it simple for our clients. The office is usually quiet, save for the hum of the air conditioning. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at screens. It’s a professional environment but we don't wear suits unless we absolutely have to. Most of the time it’s just jeans and shirts. Netaji Subhash Place is always buzzing with people, which gives the place some energy. We’ve been here for a while and we know the mall staff pretty well. We don’t bother with big slogans or fancy mission statements. We just show people how the cameras work and help them pick the right one. It’s practical work. Sometimes the elevators are slow, but that’s just part of being in a big building. We just want to do a good job and keep our customers happy without any extra fuss. It’s a steady routine and we like it. Working high up away from the street noise helps us focus.
