Felicity Creations

Working out of Jai Laxmi Apartment in IP Extension is a bit different than having a store on a main road. We use apartment number 59 as our base for Felicity Creations. It’s a quiet place, which is good when we need to concentrate on the designs or the assembly. Sometimes the neighbors wonder why there are so many packages coming in and out, but they’ve mostly gotten used to us by now. We don't have a storefront where people can just walk in off the street. It’s more of a workspace where the floors are usually covered in scraps or packing tape. We started this because we wanted to make things, and the apartment was the best place to begin. It gets a little crowded when we have a big project going on, and sometimes we have to move the kitchen chairs to make more room for the boxes. It isn't a polished corporate office with glass walls or a receptionist. It’s just a room with some tables and a lot of focus on what we're making. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers or trying to get the shipping labels to print correctly. The internet can be slow in this building sometimes, which is frustrating, but we make it work. It’s a small operation, and we like it that way because we can see everything that’s happening. Just a few people in an apartment trying to make something real.
