Faimraj Handicraft

Finding us at Plot No.E-2/1364/40 in Nehru Vihar can be a little tricky. We are on Lane No. 18/5, just off Munshi Ram Marg. It is a crowded part of town, but that’s where the work happens. Faimraj Handicraft is basically a group of us who enjoy making things with our hands. The workshop is always full of different materials, from wood to metal bits. It gets pretty loud when everyone is working at once. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything like that. If something needs doing, whoever is free just does it. The lane outside is always full of kids playing or people moving goods on bicycles. It gives the place a lot of life. We’ve had this spot for years and the roof leaks a tiny bit when it rains really hard, but we just put a bucket under it and keep going. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world. We just like the handicrafts we make. The light in the workshop is best in the early morning, so that’s when we get the most done. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but we don't mind the quiet of being a few lanes back. People who know us just come straight to the door. We don't have any fancy signs, just the work we do every day. It’s hard work, but we like the feeling of finishing a project and seeing it ready to go.
