Our office is located over at 5012A/38West in Chandigarh, which is quite a bit different from the main Delhi environment. Even though the name says Delhi, we are firmly planted here in the grid of Chandigarh. The streets are a lot wider and it feels a bit more organized, though the work itself is still just as hectic. We spend most of the day dealing with the infrastructure side of things, moving between stacks of paper and phone calls that never seem to end. The office is tucked away and isn't something you would notice if you weren't looking for it. It’s got that typical government-planned city feel outside, but inside it’s all business. We have a few desks squeezed into the space and the air conditioner makes a weird rattling sound if you turn it up too high. Most of us bring lunch from home and eat at our desks while looking over project blueprints. The connection back to Delhi is always there, so we are constantly sending files back and forth. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure the details don't get lost in the shuffle. We don't really do much in the way of decoration; there are just some old calendars and a few folders piled up in the corners. It’s a plain place, but it serves its purpose for what we need to do on a daily basis without any extra unnecessary fuss.
