ELS Luminaries

Azad Nagar East is a busy neighborhood, and if you head down Street No 9 to A 13, you’ll find us working away at ELS Luminaries. Our space is usually pretty bright because we’ve always got different lights and fixtures hooked up to see how they look. It’s not a fancy studio; it’s more like a workshop where there are wires sticking out of things and half-finished projects on the tables. We spend a lot of time testing out bulbs and seeing how the light hits the walls. Some days we’re just sitting around a table putting things together, and other days we’re trying to find a specific part in a box that we’re sure we saw yesterday. The street outside is always full of life, with kids playing and neighbors talking, and that sound filters into our workspace. We don’t have a receptionist or a big glass storefront, just a door and a place where we do our work. We use simple tools and spend a lot of time making sure things are connected right so nothing shorts out. It gets a bit cluttered with all the boxes and spare parts, but we know where most things are. We like the area and the people here, and it feels like a good place to be. We just keep things moving, one light at a time, without making a big deal out of it. It’s just what we do here in Azad Nagar.
