Our place, Rahul Garments Pvt. Ltd., is tucked away on the second floor of Aw-23 in Sector-9, Dwarka. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but it’s quiet once you get inside. We have a few rooms filled with racks and sewing stations. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, especially near the windows, so we keep the fans running all day long. We've been in Dwarka for several years now and have gotten used to the rhythm of the area. It’s mostly locals who know where we are. We don't have a big sign outside, just a small one by the door. Most of our day is spent checking measurements and making sure the stitching is straight. We get a lot of fabric deliveries on Tuesdays, which usually makes the hallway a bit cramped for a few hours. The staff here has been together for a while, so we all know how the others work. We don't do anything too complicated, just straightforward garment work. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we just use the stairs instead. It keeps us moving. We like being in Sector-9. It’s a practical location for us and it works. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay on top of the orders that come in every week. There is a small park nearby where we sometimes sit for a bit during our break. It helps to clear the head.
