Ds Constructions is based in the Kollam district of Kerala. Our pin code is 691 312. It’s a beautiful part of the state to live and work in. Our office is a simple building, nothing like the big glass towers you see in the cities. We mostly focus on local building projects here in Kerala. The weather can be a real challenge, especially when the heavy rains come and we have to stop work for a few days. We use that time to catch up on paperwork and maintain our equipment. The crew is made up of local men who know the terrain and the best way to build for this climate. We don't have a marketing team or a fancy logo. People know us because we’ve lived in this district our whole lives. My brother handles the material orders while I spend most of my time out on the sites talking to the homeowners. It’s a very direct way of working. We don't use any complicated contracts or corporate jargon. Everything is explained in plain language so everyone knows what is happening. Sometimes we have lunch together at the site, which is a good way to keep everyone in good spirits. It’s hard work being out in the sun all day, but seeing a house finally finished is a good feeling.
