Down in the Kirti Nagar WHS Timber Market, at 1/127, you’ll find Dp Wood Craft. If you know Kirti Nagar, you know it’s all about wood and furniture. Our shop is right in the thick of it. The air always smells like sawdust and cut timber, which we’ve grown to like. We spend our days surrounded by piles of wood and unfinished pieces. It’s a workshop as much as it is a store. 1/127 is where we do most of the work, and it can get quite loud with all the cutting going on. We don't have a glossy brochure. We just show people the raw materials and explain what can be made from them. It’s dusty work and our clothes usually show it by the end of the day. We have been working with wood for a long time. It’s a skill that takes time to learn, and we are still learning new things every day. The timber market is a hectic place with trucks coming in and out at all hours. We just focus on the piece of wood in front of us. No fancy sales talk here, just talk about grains and finishes. People come to us because they want something solid. We just do our best with what we have and keep the machines running. It’s a humble way to make a living. We’ve seen the market change but the wood stays the same. We just stay at 1/127 and keep building.
