In Varanasi, we are situated at B 5/11 Awadhgarvi in the Sonarpura area. If you’ve ever been to this part of Uttar Pradesh, you know the lanes can be a bit of a maze. Our place is tucked away in one of those spots where the old city feels very present. It is a small building and we have been here for a long time. The walls are thick and it stays relatively cool even when the sun is beating down outside. We don't have a fancy office setup. It is mostly just a few rooms filled with the equipment we need to do our jobs. There is a sense of history in these streets and we feel like a small part of that. We see the same faces every day walking past our door. Our work is straightforward and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. Most of our clients are local people who know us or have heard about us from their neighbors. We don't spend money on big signs or shiny decorations. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes our way. Sometimes the cows wander into the lane and block the path, but that’s just life in Varanasi. We take things as they come and don't get too stressed about the small stuff. It’s a slow and steady way of living and working that suits the city and us perfectly well.
