Design Conortium

We’re located over in Amar Colony, in the Old Double Storey buildings at 4/30. Bidyut B. Doley is the one who keeps things running here. Lajpat Nagar is a busy part of Delhi, and our office reflects that. It's a bit cramped because we have so many drawings and old files stacked up. We’ve been here for years, and the walls could probably tell a lot of stories if they could talk. We aren't a big corporate firm with a lobby or a security guard. You just walk in and find us working. We do design work, which mostly involves a lot of sitting and thinking and then drawing it all out. Sometimes the neighbors are loud, or there's a festival going on in the street, but we just keep working through it. We don't have any polished sales pitches. Usually, someone just hears about us and gives us a call. We try to be honest about what we can do and what we can't. Sometimes we stay late because a project is stuck, and other days we leave early if the work is done. It’s a very informal atmosphere. We use old computers and simple tools because they work just fine. We’re just a small group of people trying to do our part in this big city. It’s not always pretty, but the work gets done eventually. We like it this way.
