Department Of Road Transport & Highways

We are the Department of Road Transport & Highways, and our office is in Room 334 at Transport Bhawan 1. This is right on Parliament Street in New Delhi. It is a government building, and things get pretty busy around here. We work under the Exeng PPP section. The office is full of desks and old files related to road projects across the country. We don't have any flashy stuff here, just a lot of hard work. Sometimes the elevators are slow, so we take the stairs to the third floor. We handle the paperwork for various highway developments. It’s a lot of coordination with other government branches. The street outside is always packed with cars and people. Inside, we just try to keep things organized. We spend most of our time on the phone or working through project documents. It’s a practical environment for the Govt of India. We’ve been in this room for quite some time now. You’ll find us by following the signs for the transport department. It is a no-frills kind of place. We focus on getting the transport and highway tasks finished as they come in. There is always a new file to look at or a report that needs to be filed away. It’s just the way things go in a big department like ours. We keep things moving as best as we can from this small corner of the building.
