Continental Home Furnishings

Continental Home Furnishings is based at E-47/1 in the Okhla Industrial Area, Phase-2. Okhla is a very busy place, so there is always a lot of noise from trucks and the factories nearby. Our space is quite large because we need the room for all the furniture and items we have. It can get a bit disorganized when a new shipment comes in, but we eventually get everything back in its place. The lighting inside isn't the best, so we use a lot of lamps to see what we are doing. We’ve been here for a good number of years and have seen the area grow and change quite a bit. There are more tea stalls and small shops on the corner now than there used to be. Most of our workers have been here a long time, so they know the layout of the warehouse like the back of their hand. We don't really have a fancy showroom. It is more of a working space where things get moved around constantly. We focus on getting things packed and ready to go. It is hard work and sometimes we are all pretty tired by the end of the shift, but it’s a good kind of tired. We just keep our heads down and work on whatever is in front of us. No one here is trying to be a corporate star.
