Being over here in the SMA Industrial Area at Plot No.D/37 means things are always loud. We’re tucked away near GT Karnal Road, so there’s always trucks rumbling by at all hours. We do a lot of work with cams and engine parts. It’s dusty work, and the floor usually has some oil spots that we can’t ever seem to get completely clean no matter how much we scrub. Most of us have worked here for years. We know the machines better than we know our own cars sometimes. The heat gets pretty bad in the summer months, so we keep the fans going all day. It doesn’t do much, but it helps. Lunch breaks are usually spent sitting on the benches outside or getting something quick from the tea stall down the road. We aren’t doing anything flashy here. It’s just solid mechanical work day in and day out. The address is easy enough to find if you know the landmark, though the road can get a bit muddy when it rains. We handle the orders as they come in. Sometimes we’re ahead of schedule, and other times we’re chasing the clock. That’s just how it goes in a place like this. We don’t have a big sign or anything, just the gate and the sound of metal being shaped. It’s what we do and we’ve been doing it for quite some time now. We just focus on the task in front of us.
