Chowringhee

You can find Chowringhee over in Satya Niketan, right near the South Campus at 73/93. Being near the college means the energy is always high. There are students everywhere, and it gets pretty loud in the afternoons. Our shop is small and can get a bit cramped when the lunch rush hits. We don't have fancy furniture or a lot of space for people to linger. It’s more of a place where you grab what you need and keep moving. The kitchen is right there, so you can hear the pans clicking and the staff shouting out orders. It’s messy sometimes, and we’re constantly cleaning up after the busy hours. We’ve been in this spot long enough to see different groups of students come and go. It’s interesting how the crowd changes every few years. We don't put on any acts here. It’s just a plain shop with a simple purpose. Sometimes we run out of things earlier than expected because it’s hard to predict how many people will show up. We just deal with it as it comes. The walls have a few scuffs, and the floor is worn down from all the foot traffic. We aren't worried about making it look like a magazine photo. We just focus on keeping the line moving and getting the food out. Satya Niketan is a fast place, and we just try to keep up with the pace of the street. It’s just how we do things here.
