Lokesh Sanitary Store

If you’ve ever walked through Chawri Bazar, you know how crowded it gets, especially near Peepal Mahadev Chmoga Mandir. Our shop, Lokesh Sanitary Store, is tucked away in Gali Charan Dass at D-266. We occupy the ground floor and the first floor because we need the extra space for all the pipes, taps, and fittings. It’s an old building, typical for this part of the city. We’ve been selling bathroom and kitchen stuff here for a long time. The street is so narrow that we have to bring in our stock on handcarts or small rickshaws. It can be quite a struggle on delivery days. Customers usually come in looking for specific parts that they can't find in the newer markets. We know where every single nut and bolt is hidden in these stacks. The lighting isn't the best, but we've got a good system for finding things. My father started this place, and I’ve been helping out since I was a kid. It’s always noisy outside with the sounds of the market and people visiting the temple nearby. We don't have a website or anything like that; people just know us by word of mouth. It’s a simple business, really. We open up early and stay until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. Most of our regulars are plumbers who have been buying from us for decades. We also get a few homeowners who are trying to fix a leak themselves and need some quick advice on which washer fits their old tap.
