It’s pretty loud here most days in the Gurunanak Auto Market. If you’ve ever been down to Kashmere Gate, you know how the traffic gets and how many people are always moving around trying to find specific parts. Our place is at No. 142. We’ve been here for a good while now, just handling the daily sales and talking to the mechanics and shop owners who come through the doors. It’s a busy spot, but we’ve gotten used to the pace of the market. Sometimes it feels like the whole city’s car parts pass through this area at least once. We just open up in the morning, get the tea going, and start looking through what needs to be done. There isn't much fancy about it, just a lot of shelves and boxes and people asking for things. Most of the guys around here know us by now since we don't move around much. Being right here in the middle of everything at Kashmere Gate means there's never really a quiet moment, but that’s just how the auto trade works. We spend a lot of time just organizing the stock and making sure we know where everything is when someone walks in looking for a specific item. It's a lot of work keeping track of everything in this heat, but we manage. Most of our day is spent right here behind the counter, just dealing with whatever comes up next.
