You can find Dhruv Agarbatti Works over in Chauhan Patti. Our address is A-12, Kh No 26, right in Gali No. 1 of Koushal Puri. It’s a narrow lane and it can be a bit tricky to bring a car down here, so most people just walk or use a bike. The first thing you will notice when you get close is the smell. Since we make agarbatti, the scent of the incense sticks hangs in the air all around the street. It’s a very distinct smell that changes depending on what we are making that day. The workshop is a bit old and the floors are often covered with a fine dust from the materials we use. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s mostly just a place where the work happens. We have a few workers who have been with us for years. Koushal Puri is a tight neighborhood and everyone knows each other’s business. We usually have the doors open to let the air circulate while we work. It’s not a quiet place, as there is always the sound of people talking in the gali or children playing nearby. We just keep to our routine of mixing, rolling, and drying. It’s a lot of manual work and our hands are usually stained by the end of the day. It’s just how we do things here.
