Vimla Sarees & Suits

Vimla Sarees & Suits is located at No. 4209 on the 1st floor. We are right near Jogiwara in the Nai Sarak area. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know the streets are narrow and always crowded with people and rickshaws. To get to us, you have to head up the stairs, which can be a bit steep if you’re carrying things. Our space is packed from floor to ceiling with fabrics. There are sarees and suit pieces everywhere you look. It can feel a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to it. We spend our days unfolding cloth and then folding it back up again. It’s a lot of physical work, especially when the weather is hot. We don't have a lot of space for bells and whistles. It’s just racks and piles of colorful materials. The fans are always humming to keep us cool while we work. We've been in Nai Sarak for a long time, so we know most of the other traders around here. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the market prices. Sometimes the light in here isn't the best, but we know our fabrics well enough to tell what’s what by touch. It’s a busy, dusty, and loud environment, but it’s where we do our best work. We just take things as they come and try to keep the shop running smoothly.
