Kewal Co. is tucked away at 5652 Kucha Khan Chand in the Nai Sarak area of Chandni Chowk. Anyone who knows Delhi understands that finding a specific number in Kucha Khan Chand can be a bit of a challenge. The lanes are narrow, and there are wires hanging everywhere above your head. Our place is part of that old fabric of the city. It’s a small space, mostly filled with ledger books and the items we keep in stock. The walls are thick, which keeps it a bit cooler in the summer, though not by much. We’ve been at this address for a long time. Nai Sarak is always busy with people carrying bundles on their heads. Sometimes the rain makes the lanes a bit messy, but that’s just how it is here. Inside Kewal Co., it’s pretty quiet compared to the street outside. We have a few old chairs for when someone stops by to talk. The lighting isn't great, but we know where everything is kept. 5652 is just a number on a door, but for us, it’s where we spend twelve hours a day. We don’t have any big corporate signs or shiny glass windows. It’s just an old-fashioned office in the heart of Chandni Chowk. We drink a lot of chai from the vendor around the corner.
