J. K. Foot Wear

J. K. Foot Wear is right in the heart of Chandni Chowk, which everyone knows is one of the busiest places you can find. We are in the Abid Building, specifically at No. 838/3 in the Ballimaran area. If you know anything about Delhi, you know Ballimaran is the place to go if you are looking for shoes. There are hundreds of shops here, and we are just one of the many tucked into the old buildings. Our shop is small and the ceiling is a bit low, but it’s packed from floor to ceiling with boxes. You have to climb some narrow stairs to get around, and the air is always full of the smell of leather and rubber. It can be a bit overwhelming for someone who isn't used to the crowds of Chandni Chowk. We have been here for years, and we have seen the streets change quite a bit, though the noise stays the same. My grandfather used to say that if you can sell shoes in Ballimaran, you can sell them anywhere. We open early to beat some of the heat, but the customers start coming in almost immediately. It’s a lot of work to keep track of all the sizes and styles in such a tight space. We don’t have a website or a fancy catalog. People just come in, try things on, and we have a talk while they decide. That's just how we do things.
