Ashika Collection

Our shop, Ashika Collection, is right on the main road of Chandni Chowk, not too far from Sis Ganj Gurudwara. If you know that area, you know how loud and busy it gets every single day. We’ve been at number 1816 for a long time now. Being near the Gurudwara means there’s always a flow of people walking by, especially on weekends. The shop itself is packed with clothes. We try to keep things in some kind of order, but when customers start looking through the piles, it gets messy fast. That is just part of the job, I guess. We spend a lot of time tidying up and talking to people who wander in. It’s hot in the summer and the air outside is thick with the smell of street food and old buildings. We don’t have much space, so we use every inch of the walls to hang things up. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than three people are inside at once. We aren't trying to be a high-end mall store. We are just a regular place in the heart of the market where you can find something to wear without much fuss. Sometimes the noise from the traffic is so loud we have to shout to be heard, but we like being in the middle of all that energy. It keeps us going even when the days feel long and the humidity is high.
