Chandhok Eye Cats & Reflectors

Our shop is tucked away in the Johnson Building, right in the middle of the Main Market at Punja Sharif. If you’ve ever been to Kashmere Gate, you know how hectic it gets around here. We’re at room 503, which is a bit of a walk up, but we’ve been here at Chandhok Eye Cats & Reflectors for years. The market is always noisy with people shouting and horns honking, but inside the building, it’s a bit quieter. We mostly deal with reflectors and eye cats, which are those little things you see on the roads that shine at night. Our space is filled with boxes of them, stacked almost to the ceiling sometimes. It’s not a fancy showroom. It’s more of a warehouse and office mix where we keep track of what’s coming in and what’s going out to the customers. The dust from the street always finds its way in, no matter how much we clean, but that’s just part of being in this area. We usually have some tea around four o’clock and watch the chaos down in the market for a few minutes. It’s a busy life, and Kashmere Gate never really sleeps, so there’s always something happening. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us making sure the orders are right and the stock is moving. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy.
