Jain Hosiery Industries

Our place, Jain Hosiery Industries, is situated at T-385 Chamelian Road. We are right near the old Filmistan Cinema, which most people use as a landmark to find us. It’s an old part of the city with narrow roads and a lot of history. We make hosiery items, mostly basic things that everyone needs. The building is older, and the stairs are a bit steep, so we have to be careful when we are carrying bundles of goods up and down. There is always a smell of fresh cotton and maybe a bit of machine oil in the air. We don't have a big marketing budget or a team of salespeople. It is just a family-run operation where everyone chips in. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk, but other days we are working late into the evening to finish a batch. The machines are old but they still work perfectly fine if you know how to fix them when they rattle. We don't really care much for being "modern." We just like doing things the way we always have. If someone stops by, we usually offer them some water and show them what we have on the shelves. It’s a very normal, local business. We don't try to be anything else. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but we’re still here at the same spot.
