Brahmash Electronics

Brahmash Electronics is located at 231 in the Old Lajpat Rai Market. If you’ve walked through these lanes, you know it’s a tight squeeze. Our shop is one of those places where every inch of wall space is used for something. We have shelves reaching the ceiling, packed with old boxes and new components. It isn't a modern showroom. We have a small counter where we talk to customers, and usually, there are a few half-finished repairs sitting there too. We spend a lot of our time soldering or checking circuits with a multimeter. The light in the market isn't the best, so we have these bright desk lamps that we move around to see the small parts. It gets very busy in the afternoons when all the technicians from other parts of Delhi come to buy their supplies. We have to be quick with the orders because there isn't much room for people to stand and wait. Sometimes we lose things in the piles, and it takes a while to find that one specific transistor someone is asking for. It’s just how it goes here. We have some old fans that rattle while they work, but they help with the heat. We don't do much in terms of fancy business talk. We just open the shop, sell the parts, and handle the repairs as they come in. It’s been our routine for a long time now.
