R. K. Switchgear

Our shop is right next door at 2061/62 on the first floor of Chah Indra in Bhagirath Palace. We focus mainly on switchgears and other electrical components that people need for their buildings or factories. Being in Bhagirath Palace means we are right in the middle of all the action every day. The first floor is a bit easier to reach than the higher ones, but it’s still a squeeze when the market is full of people and carts. We have a lot of items packed into a very small space. It is mostly metal shelves and boxes everywhere you look. We aren't here to make the place look pretty or modern; we are here to sell parts and get the job done. We spend most of our day checking order lists and making sure we have what the customers are asking for. Sometimes we are out of stock on a specific item and have to wait for a delivery, which can be frustrating for everyone, but that’s just how it goes in this trade. We have a few people working here who have been with us since we first opened our doors. We know the regular customers by name and they know us. We don't have a big corporate office or a formal mission statement. We just come in, open the shutters, and start working. It is a practical business for people who need specific electrical parts. We like being in the heart of the market where everything is happening.
