You’ll find us at No. 1849 in Bhagirath Palace. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how packed it gets. It’s a maze of shops and people everywhere you look. Our shop is just one of many in this old building, and it’s a bit of a tight squeeze inside. We deal with various goods, and the shelves are crammed with boxes from the floor to the ceiling. There isn’t much room to move around when more than two people are inside. We spend a lot of our time dealing with the constant flow of customers and wholesalers who push through the narrow hallways. It’s loud, it’s chaotic, and it’s usually very warm. We have a couple of small fans that try their best to keep the air moving. Most of the day is spent writing out receipts and digging through piles to find exactly what someone is looking for. We don’t have any polished displays; it’s more about having the stock on hand. The lighting is bright because that’s what we need to see what we are doing. We’ve gotten used to the noise of the market and the way everyone is always in a hurry. It’s not a place for a quiet chat, but it’s where the business happens. We are just one part of the busy life at Bhagirath Palace, doing our best to keep things organized in a very unorganized place.
