Bhagirath Palace is a crazy place to work every day, especially being so close to Deewan Hall where there is always something going on. Caltron Electric Co has been sitting here at number 1673 for a long time now. If you’ve ever walked through these narrow lanes, you know how packed it gets with people looking for wires and switches. We mostly just deal with the regular electrical stuff people need for their homes or when they’re fixing up a shop. It gets dusty and loud with the carts going by, but that is just how the market is. We start early, usually around the same time as the other shops nearby, and stay until the lights in the alley start flickering. It isn't a fancy office with air conditioning that works all the time, just a solid spot where we keep our stock. My father started things out and now we just keep it moving. Sometimes the tea seller comes around and we take a break, talking about how the prices of copper keep changing. We don't have a big team or anything, just a few of us who know where everything is kept on the shelves. Most of our regulars are electricians who have been coming here since they were young. It’s a simple life selling parts and making sure we have what people ask for when they walk in.
