Bhagirath Electric Company

Our shop is up on the first floor at 1725 Ram Gali, inside the Bhagirath Palace market. If you know this area, you know how crowded it gets with people looking for electrical parts. It is a bit of a climb up the stairs but we have been here at Bhagirath Electric Company for a long time. The walls are lined with shelves full of switches, wires, and various fittings. It can get a little dusty with all the boxes moving in and out every day. We usually start early in the morning before the heat really sets in. The light in the hallway is sometimes a bit dim so you have to watch your step. We spend most of our time answering the phone and writing down lists of what the contractors need. It is noisy outside with all the rickshaws and people shouting, but inside we just try to keep things organized. Sometimes we run out of space and have to stack things higher than we should. There is a small chai stall just down the lane that we visit twice a day. It is not the most modern office you will ever see but it works for what we do. Dealing with the different suppliers takes up most of our afternoon. We just try to get through the list and make sure the right items go out in the crates without too much trouble. It is just basic business here.
