Friends Colony Industrial Area is where you'll find Belle Laboratories. We are in Street Number 8. It's an industrial zone, so it’s never really quiet. The G.T. Road is right there, which means trucks and traffic are constant. Our unit is 1/562. It's a solid building, nothing too modern to look at. We’ve been in Shahdara for quite some time. The air always has that smell of metal and machinery from the neighbors. It gets really hot in the summer months. We have a couple of old air conditioners that struggle a bit. Inside, it’s mostly tables and equipment. There isn't much room for lounging around. We get in early to avoid the worst of the G.T. Road jam. The workers from the other factories on Street No. 8 are always moving stuff around. You hear the sounds of loading and unloading all day long. Sometimes the electricity cuts out and the generator kicks in with a loud hum. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing. It’s a messy area sometimes, especially when it rains and the lanes get muddy. But this is where the business happens. We don't have a big sign out front, just the name on the door. It’s a workplace, plain and simple. We handle the chemicals and the testing without making a big fuss about it. That's just how the day goes here in Shahdara for all of us. No fancy lobbies, just hard work.
