Bearing & Allied Stores

Bearing & Allied Stores is tucked away at 624, Hamilton Road. We are right by Zorawar Singh Marg in Kashmere Gate. It’s an old part of the city and there’s always a lot of noise from the street, anyway. We’ve got bearings and other things that go with them, mostly sitting on shelves waiting for a buyer. The shop isn't much to look at but it has what people usually come looking for. We spend a lot of time checking lists and counting parts. Kashmere Gate is a hub for this kind of stuff, so we fit right in with the rest of the shops around here. Sometimes the power goes out or the street gets blocked by a truck, but we just keep the doors open. It’s a family-style setup, really. No big corporate rules, just getting the job done. We’ve known the neighbors for years. If a customer comes in asking for something specific, we check the back. If we have it, great. If not, we tell them. There isn't any fancy talk here. Just plain work, like I said. The walls could use a bit of paint maybe, but the bearings are what matter. It’s been our daily routine for a long time. We start early, drink some tea, and get to the tasks at hand. It’s a living. We aren't doing anything world-changing, just selling parts to people who need them.
