Beacon Elevators

We spend a lot of time thinking about stairs, mostly because we don't want people to have to climb them if they don't have to. Beacon Elevators is tucked away here in Ashram B-38, Pkt D. It’s a busy spot, and the traffic outside is almost always a mess, but we manage. My father started working with machinery years ago, and eventually, the focus shifted to these lift systems. It isn’t glamorous work. Most days involve looking at cables, checking control panels, and making sure the doors actually open when they are supposed to. Sometimes we get calls late at night because someone is worried about a weird noise their lift is making. We just head over and take a look. It’s a small team here. We know each other well. The shop isn't fancy, just a place where we keep the tools and some spare parts. People stop by to ask about repairs or how to get a new lift put into an old building. We tell them what we know. There’s no big sales pitch here, just honest talk about what works and what doesn't. Delhi is growing fast, and buildings are getting taller, so there is always something to do. Ashram is a central place to be, even if the dust gets everywhere. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s been this way for a while now, and we like it.
