Lovely Lady Brassiers Co.

We've been here in Bawana for a while now. The workshop is at E-90 Sector-4. It's a busy industrial area, mostly dust and trucks, but we keep the machines running inside. We make brassieres for everyday use. It started small years ago. We just focused on getting the stitching right so the things actually last and don't fall apart. It’s not fancy work, but it’s steady. Most of the people working here live nearby in the surrounding colonies. We come in early, check the fabric rolls, and start the cutting process. Sometimes the power goes out, which is just how it is in this part of Delhi, so we just wait it out. We don't have a big office or anything polished. Just the factory floor and some old wooden desks for the paperwork. People know us by the name on the board outside. We try to keep things simple. If a shipment needs to go out, we make sure it’s packed properly in the cardboard boxes. The address is easy to find if you know the Dsidc layout, though the roads are a bit rough. We spend most of our time dealing with suppliers and making sure the elastic we buy is strong. It’s a lot of repetitive work, day in and day out, but we are used to it. The area is crowded but it works for us. We just keep our heads down and do the job. Some days are busier than others depending on the orders we get from wholesalers. That's basically how we spend our days at Lovely Lady.
