Our place is located at 1831 in Bhagirath Palace. It is a very old building in a very old part of town. If you come to visit, you have to navigate through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk. It is always loud and there is always someone pushing a cart full of goods past the door. We have been here a long time, and we have seen the market change quite a bit. Inside the shop, it’s mostly shelves from floor to ceiling. We sell a lot of different electrical parts, and sometimes it takes a minute to find the exact one someone is asking for. We don’t have any air conditioning, just a few old fans that keep the air moving. It gets hot in the summer, but we’re used to it. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. We just have a small desk where we keep the ledger and the phone. We talk to a lot of people every day, from contractors to homeowners. Everyone is in a hurry, so we try to be quick. We don’t do any fancy advertising. The name on the board outside is enough. People know us because we’ve been in this same spot for so long. It’s a hard place to work sometimes because of the crowds, but it’s where we belong. We just keep the lights on and keep moving boxes around for the customers until closing time.
