We've been at 11 Main Hanuman Road in Badarpur for a long time now. It’s a busy spot, especially with all the traffic coming through. My family started this because we liked working with our hands. It’s mostly just us and a few helpers making various wooden and metal pieces. Usually, the shop gets dusty from the road, so we spend a lot of time cleaning things off before people come in to look. We don’t have a big fancy showroom or anything. It’s just shelves full of things we’ve collected or made over the months. Sometimes it’s quiet, and we just sit outside watching the cars go by on Hanuman Road. Other days, it’s a total mess with boxes everywhere. We try to keep things organized, but when a big shipment comes in, it’s tough. People mostly find us by word of mouth or because they were stuck in traffic and saw the sign. We don't do much advertising. We just show up every morning, open the shutters, and see what the day brings. It’s a simple life here in Badarpur. Sometimes the tea stall next door brings us chai and we talk about the weather. That’s pretty much how it goes. We have some regular customers who have been buying from us since the beginning. It’s nice seeing familiar faces. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure the items are ready when someone wants them.
