Bagels Cafe

We are over at 50 Hauz Khas Village. It is a small shop and we focus mostly on bagels because that is what we know how to do. The kitchen area takes up most of the space so there isn't a lot of room for people to dance around. We get the dough ready early and the smell of the oven usually fills up the whole street by ten in the morning. Some days the bagels come out looking a bit different from each other but they all taste the same in the end. We aren't trying to be a fancy bakery with glass cases and uniforms. We mostly wear our regular clothes and stay busy with the toaster and the spreads. The floor is old stone and it is hard to keep it looking perfect with all the foot traffic coming in from the main road. Hauz Khas is a busy place so we see a lot of tourists and locals every single day. We keep the napkins in a pile on the counter and the water is self-service for the most part. It is a simple setup and we like it that way because it is easier to manage. If you are looking for a quick bite while walking through the village, we are usually here until the evening. We don't do much marketing, we just leave the door open.
