R. K. Display System

You can find us down Gali No. 8 on Sindhu Farm Road. We’re in the Meethapur Extension area, not far from Rama Garden. It’s a bit of a maze back here, especially if you aren’t used to the Badarpur side of things. We work on display systems, so there’s always a lot of metal and glass around the shop. It can get a bit cluttered when we have several projects going at once. We don't have a big shiny showroom. Most of our work is done right here on the floor. You’ll usually hear the sound of cutting or welding if you walk by. It’s just a small crew of us. We’ve been at this address for a while and the locals know us. The road outside can get quite dusty and crowded with rickshaws, which makes loading the finished displays onto trucks a bit of a challenge. We usually have to wait for a gap in traffic. We don't do much talking about ourselves; we just let the work speak. Usually, a customer comes in with a sketch or an idea, and we try to figure out how to build it. It’s practical work. We drink a lot of chai and just try to get through the daily list of tasks. We like being in this neighborhood despite the noise and the narrow streets.
