Daryaganj is a crowded place, and Asaf Ali Road is right in the thick of it. Our office is in Room 205, which is on the second floor of building 1/18B. It’s one of those old buildings where the walls have a bit of character and the hallways are narrow. We’ve been operating from this spot for a long time. You can hear the sounds of the street even through the windows. It’s not the quietest place to work, but it keeps us on our toes. There are a lot of other businesses nearby, so there’s always a lot of movement in the stairs. We don’t put much stock in having a modern, sleek office. Our desks are a bit old and we have files stacked up, but we know where everything is. It’s a very hands-on kind of environment. People stop by, we have some tea, and we talk about the day’s work. There isn’t a lot of fluff. We prefer to keep things straightforward and honest. Sometimes the lift doesn't work, so we just take the stairs. It’s just a regular part of being in this part of Delhi. We like being centrally located because it makes things easier for everyone. It’s a busy life, but it’s ours. We just keep moving forward one day at a time without much fuss. We've been here long enough that the chaos feels like home now.
