Our shop is right on the ground floor, numbers 2125 and 2126, inside Bhagirath Palace. If you know Chah Indara, we aren't hard to find. It’s a crowded place, like most of this market, with boxes stacked in every available corner. We deal with all sorts of lights and fixtures. Some days it feels like we spend more time moving boxes around than anything else. There are wires hanging everywhere and we have different bulbs flickering to show people how they look. It’s a family-run kind of vibe. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know where everything is hidden in the back. Customers come in looking for specific parts for their homes or shops. We try to keep a bit of everything, but sometimes the shelves get a bit bare before the new shipment arrives. It gets very busy in the afternoons when the market is full of people. We don't do much fancy stuff like brochures. People just come in, point at what they want, and we pack it up for them. It’s noisy and bright, but we like being in the middle of the action at Bhagirath Palace. We've seen a lot of other shops come and go, but we’re still here in our little spot. It’s just how we do business every day, nothing more to it than that. Sometimes we forget to turn the display lights off at night, but we're working on it.
